Infinity
I find myself,
In a space uncharted -
Free falling on a feeling,
From the cliff I had reached.
As I see you,
Beyond the rehearsed script -
Of one story lived,
And many only wished.
I see you,
Past your marital vows -
Of sacramental promises,
To commitments institutionalised.
I see you,
Past your dance in this crowd -
Of friendships, and family -
A tune that was ages ago rationalised.
Like between chaos and order,
There is flight, but no landing;
This is infinity, and I’m suspended in it.
Cos I see you now, dear baby,
In only your element individual.
Ceremonial constructs cease to exist.
